Sitia public airport
Sitia Airport is the main gateway to the eastern part of Crete. It is situated just 1 km north/northwest of the city center and provides easy access to Athens, Preveza, and Alexandroupoli with direct flights. In the current summer season of 2023, direct flights to Milan, Naples, Tel Aviv and Copenhagen are also available.

Sitia offers a direct ferry connection to Piraeus and Heraklion and several other beautiful islands, including Kasos, Karpathos, and Rhodes.
TRANSPORTATION INSIDE THE TOWN OF SITIA
Sitia has a county road network with tarmac roads, providing access to all the villages, sights and beaches in the district.
Sitia also has public bus transport to Ierapetra, Agios Nikolaos and, via Heraklion, to the rest of Crete, as well as to the wider area and the Vai Palm Forest in the summer.
